Two women engage in a game of nerve, where the rules are ever changing and the relationship between them is unstable. Like a runner in the starting blocks before the gun sounds, they are fuelled by anticipation. The game is dropped soon after it begins and another starts.
A Readiness was premiered at a symposium at The Roundhouse, London and programmed as part of a triple bill for In Our Blood Tour 2011.
