Seasoned is a female duet between English dancer Amy Morvell and Canadian dancer Madison Burgess, Choreographed by Co-Artistic Director of Lîla Dance Abi Mortimer.

Seasoned captures a renewed love for dancing and joy for moving. The movement weaves and dives around the beautifully complex rhythms of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons (Winter and Spring).

Performed on a cello by Luka Sulic, the famous melodies find a deeper reverberance than the traditional instrumental arrangement.

A connection to earth, gravity, falling and risk between the two bodies that gathers momentum through expansive use of space, that mirrors the expanse within the music.

Making this piece was a retreat from the monotony of working from home and the single artistic venture in our lives for four months. We poured all our creative energy into this work and truly absorbed the shared experience of dancing with an intensity that was unique only to this time in our lives.
