Nick Walker

Nick was writer and Dramaturg for MY BIT 2019, The Hotel Experience 2018 & The Deluge 2015.

Nick works in theatre, radio, and television both as a writer and a director. He was co-founder of Talking Birds, a site-specific theatre company based in Coventry which has toured across Europe and the US. He’s worked as a writer/dramaturg with a diverse range of UK performance artists including Action Hero, NoFit State, Lîla Dance, Stan’s Cafe, Kiln, Bootworks, as well as with solo artists. Recent theatre work include commissions for the Oxford Playhouse, Birmingham Rep, and the Belgrade Theatre.

His plays and short stories are regularly featured on BBC Radio 4, including 3 series of The First King of Mars starring Peter Capaldi, and 6 series of his Scandinavian thriller, Annika Stranded, starring Nicola Walker. He is the author of two critically acclaimed novels Blackbox and Helloland and was recently the Director of The Core at Corby Cube.
